A medical marijuana bill has been introduced in the New York State Assembly, according to a statement by the New York Cannabis Alliance, which played a role in crafting the legislation. The bill would legalize the use of marijuana by certified patients, as long as the amount does not exceed two and a half ounces. The alliance claims the bill balances safe access, industry interests, revenue potential for the state, strict regulations and ease of implementation.
