In 2018, in a now-deleted Instagram post, Halsey wrote about dealing with the depressive episodes associated with her bipolar disorder through a mix of therapy, writing, massage, eating healthy, working out and getting outside.

She told StyleCaster that she likes to remind herself of her blessings and takes “5 minutes to remind myself how fortunate I am to be a tiny human with big dreams and weighted shoulders with the privilege to carry that weight for myself and those I love.” Her positive approach has helped the Grammy-nominated singer cope with her diagnosis while continuing to enjoy success in the music industry.
